See what our success looks like
Hi. My name is Tracey Watters. I feel like I was rescued once again, this time around by a program called Alternative Directions. That is where I am today. This program has given me a new way of life. I have found a new way to live and to do things in a different way. I have found freedom from drug use, and I also have my family back in my life, and with that my life has a new beginning, which has made me feel like a new person.
My name is Diane Forrester. I was sentenced to thirteen years at the Department of Corrections. Six years of my sentence was suspended, and I was given seven! Th e adversity that I endured throughout my life kept me stuck in turmoil, until Alternative Directions saw something in me in which I was unable to see in myself. Today, I am truly grateful for the transformation that has occurred in my life! I am also blessed that God put people from Alternative Directions in my life to show me the way! Change is necessary and change can be hard, but change you must, or die you will!
Hello my name is Malissa Chandler. I am currently a resident at the Marian house. I came from Jessup Prison to the Marian house not knowing what to expect, but since being there I have learned a lot about myself. I am now independent with a job that I enjoy going to everyday. I am learning how to love myself, but most of all how to love others. It’s a blessing to have people in my life today that love and care for me unconditionally. I am no longer afraid to be successful in life, and I owe it all the Marion House and Alternative Directions for all their help in saving my life. God bless you all!
